As I mentioned in my previous post I hope that my curation blog will provide gateway to knowledge for many teachers and students from Romania and worldwide because I will try to describe weekly gr8 new and useful resources(applications and tools web 2.0 and social media) that make educational process to be impressive and enjoyable for students. I was pleased to see that my project, eSafety4eTwinners - Web 2.0 and social media use eTwinners to prevent school dropout "was accepted in the exhibition Innovators Forum in Education organized by Microsoft, Romanian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and EOS Foundation .So I was participated in Brasov, Aro Palace Hotel on 1 - 2 March 2012 Innovators Forum in Education which was held in conjunction with the Meeting of National Education MECTS and so our projects have been visited in the Exhibition, and appreciated by general inspectors and other inspectors who were present at the event. In this special event experts have shared us the latest news in the Microsoft field. Thus I learned that Microsoft has released a new platform for Microsoft Partners in Learning http://www.pil-network.com/ Network with many facilities for teachers worldwide, and Microsoft experts showed us the new Microsoft tablets of 12 and 10 inches and showed us some features offered by Windows 8 touch version that was released a few days ago. We also had a video conference at the event with Adina Popa from a Patfinder American school who organized # globaled11 . Also during this session and headteachers of Mentor and Patfinder schools from Romania have explained us the benefits obtained as innovative schools.
The two projects who will represent Romania in Lisbon on 25 March at the European Forum are: ,, Natural Resources "- Secondary School Nr. Galati 29 selected by the jury on the 1st place and ,, The story of a sheet of paper" - School grades I-VIII Panticeu, Cluj selected by public vote. I am also proud that the project in our county,, traditional houses Severin "coordinated by Mr. Tudor Deaconu and Remus got a deserved 3 place .
